Redesigning Stanza’s design system and user experience.

Stanza patients received an app update which included a new design system and user experiences which allowed them to complete therapeutic exercises in the app. Before, they had to complete these exercises on paper worksheets.

Role

Product Designer who worked on:

  • Information architecture, user flow diagrams
  • Wireframes: low and high fidelity, user interface design, content writing, microcopy, prototyping, and visual asset design.
  • Project management: I collaborated on story writing, story grooming, development design review, and bug writing.
  • Design system definition and building in Figma and Zeplin. 

Team

Cross functional collaboration between Design, Visual Designers, Illustrator, copywriters, subject matter experts, Engineering, Marketing, and Clinical Operations.

Design Approach

  • Maintain therapeutic effect of the journaling activities
  • Opportunistically improve usability of the application as scope and resources allowed.
  • Keep scope realistic to meet expectations.

Results

Increased satisfaction and usability with Stanza users, which contributed to increased patient quality of life outcomes.
