My Design Journey

From an early age I unknowingly explored my style of design through visual expression. I preferred to hand make birthday and holiday cards for friends and family. I spent too many hours customizing Windows XP, Winamp, and LiveJournal. My class projects were typically books, posters, or powerpoints.

I applied to a number of art colleges, with tentative plans of becoming an Illustrator or Architect. I was accepted into California College of the Arts, and came across the Graphic Design program. I knew it was the best fit for me because it gave me a robust skillset to manifest ideas across a wide range of media.

I began my career as a visual designer, and over time evolved into a product designer. I have defined and matured my process over the years, and I’m grateful for the people, causes, and products I have worked for.
